Groupage loads, also known as co-shipments or consolidated shipping, are a combination of several smaller deliveries from different distributers to make a single, larger shipment, which helps reduce logistics costs and environmental impact.

Historically, it has been difficult to accommodate non-standard goods into groupage shipments due to the size or weight of the material.

However, at Cargo Express, we use the dimensions of your goods ahead of time to find a suitable pallet in our extensive network and understand how much leftover cargo space can be safely utilised in the vehicle you need, and which other nearby deliveries will fit there.

This allows even the heaviest and most complex goods to benefit from groupage transport. Our regular transport of awkward to move goods includes items such as automotive parts,awnings, construction items and products, refrigerator units, and more across the UK, EU and internationally.

You will also receive electronic proof of delivery notices so that you have a clear record of when your goods have reached their destination.
  • Storage and Warehousing – Our premium groupage transport can help your business save on storage and warehousing costs with faster turnarounds between shipping dates, which can also improve your customer satisfaction by passing on shipping savings onto the consumer.
  • Truck-Mounted Machinery – Not everywhere can own, store, or use a forklift on-site. That’s why Cargo Express can mount mobile forklifts to our vehicles to help load and unload goods at locations where a forklift may not be useable. We could also provide a tail lift at the rear of our vehicle if the goods or location do not require a full forklift.
  • Transparent On-Time Delivery – All our vehicles are satellite tracked and you will be assigned a dedicated logistics manager who will help guide you through the process.
  • Cost Efficient and Environmentally Friendly – Groupage transport allows for several smaller deliveries to be collected into a single vehicle, preventing five separate entities paying for five different vehicles on five unique routes.

WHAT TYPE OF VEHICLES DO YOU OPERATE?

We operate a wide range of vehicles, from vans to articulated units. We have vehicles with and without tail lifts, curtain siders, step trailers, double decker trailers and truck mounted forklifts. All these are designed to increase utilisation and productivity for our customers. Please visit the Fleet page or contact a member of staff for further information.

CAN I TRACK MY DELIVERY?

Yes, all our vehicles are fitted with TOMTOM Webfleet tracking and updated in real time every minute. Please contact a member of our team for your own unique login details.

WHAT TYPE OF DELIVERY SERVICE DO YOU PROVIDE?
